“Resa Marciana” is an album rooted in old-school Stockholm Death Metal and enriched with Groove/Thrash Metal and Norwegian Black Metal influences. However, what truly distinguishes it from the band’s past is its strong folkloristic and identity-driven imprint, both lyrically and musically. In fact, beyond being entirely sung in the Venetian dialect, the themes explore ancient and horrifying lagoon legends of Venice, the folklore of its various islands, as well as numerous reflections and social critiques on the city’s current condition.
The music and lyrics were composed by frontman Davide Lazzarini, with the exception of the final track, which is an arrangement of an ancient Venetian folk piece.

“Resa Marciana,” self-produced by Membrance, was recorded between Venice and Rome during the spring and summer of 2025, and mixed and mastered at the renowned 16th Cellar Studio by Stefano Morabito in Rome.
The cover artwork was created by painter Sheila Franco, based on the graphic concept of a dying city: the lion, symbol of Venice, has become a chimera of itself as it sinks disastrously along with its city—book closed, sword broken, and the sestieri transformed into blind serpents.
